Geriatric Physiotherapy

Geriatric Physiotherapy focuses on the health and well-being of older adults, helping them maintain mobility, independence, and quality of life as they age. It addresses age-related physical challenges such as joint stiffness, muscle weakness, balance problems, arthritis, osteoporosis, and recovery after surgeries or falls. Physiotherapists design individualized programs that include strength training, balance and coordination exercises, pain management, and mobility enhancement. Education on posture, fall prevention, and safe daily movement is also emphasized. The primary goal of geriatric physiotherapy is to promote functional independence, reduce the risk of injury, and support active, healthy aging.

Focused on maintaining mobility, balance, and independence in older adults:

  • Fall prevention and balance training

  • Arthritis and osteoporosis management

  • Mobility aid training and post-surgery rehab
